ESET Security Review

ESET is a solid anti-malware engine, a useful firewall setting, a password manager with form filling, browser protection and a number of good security tools for networks. Its parental control along with its secure browser and anti-theft capabilities are decent, but not exceptional. It does not offer a VPN or microphone protection, but it does offer remote screen recording or camera access for a view of what a burglar has been doing on your phone or laptop.

The program comes with an appealing interface that is easy to comprehend and manage by beginners but is also full of detailed information and power user features for those who need it. The company provides outstanding customer service, which is accessible through their website or the client directly by clicking the “support” button that is at the bottom of every application.

ESET Internet Security’s status bar on top of the screen shows the security it provides to your computer. It also provides specific information about the security. The program will notify you on your desktop, right next to the system tray, whenever something happens on your computer.

However the anti-phishing features of the antivirus were a bit sloppy and blocked quite a handful of websites that were not listed on PhishTank that I am confident in. Also, when we plugged a USB storage device into our laptop the program automatically scans it which was a little annoying since most browse around this site other antivirus programs ask you for permission to scan the device.
